External wall insulation is a layered system fitted to the outside of a building. Insulation boards are bonded and fixed to the wall, then covered with a reinforcement mesh and base coat, and finished with a coloured render. It improves thermal performance, weather protection and the appearance of the building in one go.

Yes. We supply and install silicone, mineral, lime, decorative and brick-effect render finishes as the final layer of every EWI system, or as a standalone re-render where the wall doesn't need new insulation.

It depends on the property size, weather and access. A typical UK semi-detached home often takes 2–4 weeks from start to finish, including scaffold, install and render. We'll give you a clear programme with your quote.

Done properly, EWI reduces condensation because internal wall surfaces stay warmer. The key is correct board specification, proper detailing around openings and a breathable finish where appropriate.
